Ferocious DIY Shoes: Attach A Curious T-Rex To Your Heel

diy-shoes-dinosaur-high-heels

We’ve featured some pretty coo-coo crazy high heel designs before, but I think this is the first time we’ve featured a pair that has a dinosaur hanging out on the heel. The best part is, these are DIY shoes, so you can make them for yourself. Something tells me if I were to attempt this project, they wouldn’t end up looking like the ones in these pictures, but that’s beside the point. If you are crafty, I’m sure you could whip these up no problem.

These DIY shoes were created by michaelsaurus. He was inspired by these dinosaur shoes which were so popular on the Internet about a month ago. These are definitely a little different, and they look much more practical. These are the kind of DIY shoes you could actually wear on any given day. They aren’t so outrageous that you couldn’t sport them at the office or in a meeting.

These prehistoric pumps look a little tricky to make though. Don’t let that discourage you, just know you might need to set aside more time than you might think at first. I’m sure it will be worth it in the end though, I mean, you’ll almost certainly be the only person on the block sporting a t-rex on each shoe. You can click over to Dinosaur Heels for the full tutorial.

The good news is that since these are DIY shoes, you can create them using a pair of shoes from the thrift store as the base. Since you’ll probably be able to pick those up for just a few bucks, you might want to grab two pairs, just in case you need to start over. Hey, a little extra planning never hurt when it comes to a project like this, right? The way this DIY shoe tutorial is written, it really leaves room for some creativity. In other words, these shoes could end up being zombie shoes or TARDIS shoes. You don’t have to use dinosaurs if you want to switch it up. If you make some, I hope you come back and leave a picture!
