Disney Princesses Redesigned As Hippies From The ’60s

Disney-Princesses-Hippies-Style

We’ve shown you so many Disney princesses redesigned and mashed up with other things that you probably wouldn’t think it could be possible for anyone else to do it any other way, right? Well, that’s not entirely true. There is a never-ending stream of creativity that flows from designers and artists when it comes to the princesses we all know and love, and I have a feeling we are just getting started.

This particular series features the princesses as hippies from the ’60s, and it has a very Brady Bunch flavor to it. When I think of the ’60s, one of the first things that comes to my mind are all the incredibly designed album covers that we don’t see today. From what I’ve heard, people used to collect those albums just like we used to collect CDs. I can see some of that album cover inspiration in this collection.

The spirit of the hippie style is truly captured in the shirts buttoned all the way up, high-waisted short shorts and chunky heels. These were created by Michelle Macias at Miss Lumpalinda Drawings. Michelle, you did such a great job on these! Which one is your favorite? Also, I found a site where you can create yourself as a Disney princess. How fun! I was going to share with you the one I created, but she looks all mean and nasty (well, at least she’s hot). I think I’ll go back and make a sweet, innocent looking one. Nah, on second thought, that would be too boring.
