There is truly no end to all the different ways the Disney princesses can be redesigned. They never get old, and it’s always fun to see them in different scenarios. Sometimes they’re cast into real life, and sometimes they stay in fantasyland, but they always look beautiful. I remember about a year ago Richard wrote an article called Disney For Adults which featured the princesses in a daring way we hadn’t seen before. This collection of Disney princess illustrations also features them looking sexy, and just like before, it’s a bit strange to see them this way.
21-year-old Mexican artist and deviantART user ~retipuj-rules created these, and I think she did an excellent job on each one. If the Disney princesses were to come to life as real people, this is what I imagine they’d look like. And, the best part is that they’d look like this forever. I really need to know their anti-aging secret. I suppose being animated helps. I love each one of these as much as the next, but I think Ariel is my number one favorite.
Which do you like best…the Disney princesses as ’60s Hippies, Vogue Supermodels or as depressed, suicidal Fallen Princesses? It’s great to see them breaking out from their regular role as squeaky clean childhood role models floating through the forest and singing about love and life in falsetto. I wish someone would take it all one step further and redesign them with their boyfriends. I’d love to see the kind of guys they would date. We could see Cinderella and Snow White on a double date with their guys. Wouldn’t that be freaky? Maybe an artist will do that someday. If it’s already been done, I hope you might consider sending me the link. I’d really like to check it out!
