Disney is one of the most successful movie companies of all time. It’s one that has inspired us all throughout our life and keeps doing so year after year. The animation technique has evolved, and now computers make up most of it, but it’s the stories that keep us nailed to the theater seats. The imagination that Disney has shown us in every movie is mind boggling, and with each movie, they take it up a notch. Even though there are a ton of adult hints in the movies, they stay in the zone suitable for children, just as they should.
However, artist Jeffrey Scott Campbell decided that the famous characters, specifically the Disney princesses, had been kept dressed for too long. He decided to give them a more daring approach. Don’t worry, they are of course not going nude! That would just be odd and uncomfortable. No, they are just drawn in a more adult manner than what we are used to seeing them. It’s amazingly creative and talently executed I might add!
These cartoon paintings look a lot like some of the posters you could buy during the ’80s. I remember when I was flipping through those posters and came across dreamy panthers and whatnot. It was tacky stuff that only fit a teen’s bedroom… back then that is! It’s interesting to see these characters in another “setting” than we’re used to. Now I sit here wondering if a NSFW is necessary. Hmm…
