I must be in the wrong business. I spend practically all day and night on my computer working; meanwhile, there are some creative artists out there who simply make some fugly dolls, and they make a fortune doing it. On the other hand, these are probably a lot more complicated to make than they look. I’m sure it took Heike Kolpin a looooong time to make this baby chewie doll. After all, this kind of demented creepiness doesn’t come easy I’m sure. It most likely takes years of experience.
When I wrote about these crazy looking Harry Potter dolls, I really thought it wouldn’t get scarier than that, but I was definitely wrong. Do you crave an even bigger nightmare? Well then check out this Wookie/Chewbacca inspired reborn baby. It’s selling right now on eBay. At the time I’m writing this, the auction ends in 9 hours, and the current bid is 200 bucks. Yep, you read that right, 200 big ones for this.
Chewie comes with a receiving blanket, a birth certificate and care instructions. He is also signed by the artist. He was born October 2, 2011, he weighs a little over 1 pound, and he is 13.5 inches long. Wait, it gets even better. Heike Kolpin also created a baby Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker reborn baby dolls. There is a picture of the entire set of four below. That is the Han Solo baby holding Chewie in the 3rd photo down. All I can really say is, wow. He’s got a face only a mother could love.
