Award-Winning Drunk Baby Ads Sell Whiskey Infused Chocolates

Wow, I never knew until I saw these pictures how much being drunk looks the same as being tired. Although these pictures are controversial, they make me smile because these kiddies are so precious. I don’t know if they would actually make me want to buy these French chocolates though.

These little toddlers are so adorable, and something about this ad campaign just makes me want to reach out and squish their cheeks (and give them each two aspirin and a big glass of water because from the looks of these pictures, they are all going to have a helluva hangover).

This campaign, called “Funny Baby,” was created by Dentsu for L’Univers de Chocolat. The pictures were taken by Rogerio Miranda. It won a Gold Outdoor Lion at the 2010 Cannes National Advertising Festival. The purpose of this advertising campaign is to sell these decadent chocolates, which are infused with Jack Daniels whiskey. Here in the States, people aren’t quite as accepting of this type of advertising as they are in other places around the world. I can understand why some people get uptight over this, but I still think it’s brilliant! Go get in bed babies, you’ll feel much better once you sleep it off.
