An Incredible Collection Of Realistic Character Tattoos

Realistic-Colorful-Character-Tattoos

I’ve been writing about tattoos on Bit Rebels since 2009. The funny thing is, I don’t have any tattoos. I keep saying I’m going to get one, but it’s such a big commitment, and I haven’t found a design yet that I would want on my body forever. Someday I will find something just right, and then I will finally take the plunge. That day is going to be really special.

There are all kinds of different tattoo styles, and some of them will blow your mind. You can do a search on this site and see many of them. Some people choose to create their own tattoo designs, some people decide on a whim to get something popular, and others even go so far as to have a character from a movie tattooed on their body.

A few months ago, Richard wrote about some Amazing Photo Realistic Skin Illustrations which featured 10 tattoos that looked exactly like photos. It was insane to me that someone could create such an exact replica of a photograph on someone’s skin in permanent ink. What an art! Today I’d like to share with you some more very realistic tattoos of characters.

These were created by artist Steve Wimmer who is relatively new to the tattoo scene. He’s been working in this field since around 2006, but when you look at the accuracy of his work, he looks like he’s been doing this for decades. In the video below, you’ll see how he puts the photograph right next to the skin when he’s working. Fascinating! If you want to read another interesting tattoo tidbit, check out the world’s youngest tattoo artist. She’s 3 years old.
