I’ve been having so much productivity lately with my work that I thought I’d share some of that here.

I wanted to talk  about Adobe Bridge since it’s not something you hear about every day in the design world.

What I’ll be doing is identifying what exactly Adobe Bridge does, and why it’s really helpful for designers that use one or more applications in the Adobe Creative Suite.

Rather than write an article I thought that I’d create a video which would illustrate my points. Enjoy!

Thanks guys.

@v-render – thanks for the input. I might make a video detailing the further benefits of Bridge, but for this one I thought I’d keep it uber simple :)

Appreciate your views very much <

Nice video, but I have to say that you really are just scratching the surface of Bridge. Yes, its great to review files which aren’t native to the system (although Snow Leopard drastically improves the integration), it interacts with different programs quite differently. I think the biggest problem is that people have bad habits which could be remedied with Bridge, but have no real reason to use it. It’s all about efficiency and some people don’t utilize it. Sad.

After Effects is quite good with Bridge, as it can view movies and take stacks of images file and make it into an animation on the fly. It’s also great for large quantities of photographs and large servers which hold tons of clients information. Organizing a bunch of files your viewer can’t see is priceless. Bridge really is awesome.

Nice simple overview for non-users. Most companies I’ve worked for avoid Bridge like the plague but I love it. Extra points for showing it all on a windows pc!

Good Overview for people who might not have dabbled with CS, but another feature I like is Batch Processing, Photomerging, and Contact Sheet (Tools>Photoshop)
