The Bacon Font: A Uniquely Delicious Alphabet

Bacon Font Alphabet Henry Hargreaves

Even after writing at least a dozen articles about bacon, I’m still baffled by our fascination with it. I admit that I am a true bacon lover, and I can put away a pound of bacon like it was nobody’s business, but our obsession with bacon goes beyond just eating it. I remember it started back around 2009 when we saw bacon-inspired creations pop up all over the Internet. Now, over two years later, it hasn’t stopped. I suppose it wasn’t a fad after all, most of us just love bacon.

As soon as I saw this font was created by Henry Hargreaves, it all made sense. He is one of my favorite photographers, and he’s always cookin up something interesting. I’ve written about his work several times before. He normally decides on what he wants to photograph, and then he teams up with a stylist to help him get the look he wants to achieve.

Usually he chooses something simple which he makes extraordinary. For example, he photographed these exploding eggs, this rainbow colored lunch, and these boobies (he’s a self-proclaimed breast enthusiast). This time around he made a font, or an alphabet, out of bacon. He didn’t just make the letters look like they were made out of bacon; he actually cut them out of bacon. I wonder what he and stylist Sarah Guido did with all that bacon after they were finished…. Nom nom!
