4 Depressed Superheroes: Their Lives Aren’t Always Perfect Either

Grunge Art Sad Superheroes Superman

One thing that you might not think about when watching a superhero movie is that when they aren’t fighting crime, they have regular lives just like the rest of us. It must be hard living up to the superhero reputation sometimes. Superheroes are often expected to be strong, noble, happy and physically fit at all times. However, that isn’t how it always is.

For example, superheroes started out as little superhero babies. They wash their costumes and clean their bathrooms the superhero way, and with time, they age and eventually become wrinkly old superheroes. So as you see, superheroes are more like us than we may realize.

According to artist Lora Zombie, superheroes even get depressed sometimes. It makes sense when I think about it. After all, life isn’t always perfect for them. I’m sure that ridding the world of evil and constantly being expected to save the planet must get tiring at times. Also, imagine how hard it must be for a superhero to find true love or even just to take a vacation. Yeah, I can understand that life might get depressing every now and then for them. These limited edition prints are for sale over at Eyes on Walls for 50 bucks each.
