10 Geek Aprons: Wonder Woman, Batman, Harley Quinn, Mario & More

Geek Aprons Superheroes Mario Etsy

I’ve noticed before that in pictures of women in the kitchen (and other parts of the house) from the 50s and 60s, they are almost always wearing an apron. Even in the recent article I wrote about some funny retro sexist ads, you can see it. Does that mean wearing an apron in the kitchen is old fashioned? If it is, I guess I’m rockin a retro style because I still wear my apron every time I cook. I can get down and dirty in the kitchen, and I don’t like messing up my clothes.

Unfortunately for me, my apron is not nearly as much fun as these. What geeky girl wouldn’t want to dress in an apron and look like Wonder Woman, Batman, Harley Quinn or even Luigi?

These are just as cute as can be, and they are inexpensive too. They are created by Etsy user luv2right, and they are all available in her Etsy store starting at $26. She also makes handmade geeky purses and jewelry. If you are a geeky girl, and if you are trying to spice up your cooking experience, this could be just what you need! If I had one of these aprons, I wouldn’t stuff it in the drawer when I’m finished cooking like I do now. Instead, I’d hang it on the wall so it would give my kitchen a superhero touch, even when I’m not in there. (luv2right will soon be releasing a Darth Vader, Zelda and Captain America apron also)
