Lego Minifigures: Now A Mind-Numbing iPhone App

In this article, I first and foremost want to welcome Diana into the iPhone camp with her latest purchase of the iPhone 4, good move.  As you all know, we have been committed to reporting back to you all the cool, nerdy, brilliant or outlandishly stupid and unnecessary apps and accessories for the iPhone, and we’re not about to stop any time soon.  As a matter of fact, we’re gearing up to boost the frequency on which we mess with the iPhone, iPad and everything in between.

Of course, we will still find and report back to you about Android and Blackberry whenever we find something that is worth writing about.  It’s just that the Apple products have such a huge following now, and the flood of cool stuff released every week is just astonishing.  But rest assured we are not relaxing, not for a minute.

This is why I am writing about this ultimately addicting yet totally unnecessary iPhone app.  It’s a Lego Minifigures Collector app that lets you collect… well, Lego minifigures by swiping three different levels on the screen.  It starts rotating, and when it stops, you can do whatever level you have left to complete the minifigure.

In total you can collect 32 Lego minifigures.  And what purpose does this have?  Absolutely none whatsoever.  It’s just that simple.  You swipe, you get the Lego minifigure if the three parts are the same figure, and that’s just about it really.  Why is it a game if it has no purpose?  Apparently the people over at Lego just don’t see it that way, hence the Lego minifigures app.  The good thing about it all is that it is completely free.  Thank God for that.  Time to waste minutes, hours and days on getting Lego minifigures I will never get to actually play with.  Life’s cruel sometimes.
