It’s a new year, and we all know what that means. Most of us probably made some kind of New Year’s resolution, and for many of us, it had something to do with getting back in shape, right? I recently checked out an infographic that said that the most broken New Year’s resolution was actually the promise of just that, getting back in shape. So what is it that keeps us from following through and really doing what we said we would? In some cases, it probably just has to do with dedication. Usually though, if I were to speculate, it has more to do with the fact that we are all a little bit too lazy to follow through on our promise.

As always, there is a way to motivate that dedication, and this time it is a really good way. It’s one that will actually have you lose something if you don’t follow through properly. It is called the GymPact iPhone app, and it is a sure way to get that exercise of yours rockin. So what it is all about? Well, you have to sign up, and that means to agree to the fact that what you deposit into the pact as far as money will be lost of you don’t do what you set out to do.

This means the people who stay active and actually exercise (it’s all measured by GPS so there is no cheating) will earn (steal) money from the people who don’t. Yup, that’s right, this whole thing is funded by lazy people. If you keep being a couch potato, you could potentially lose a lot of money. That is, of course, if you choose to download the application and actually sign up and join a pact. Are you ready to face the challenge, or are you going to stay in the shadows of the lazy and keep complaining about not getting back into shape? The choice is yours…
